Joanna Simpson was the murder victim and estranged wife of the British Airways Pilot, Robert Brown.
She and Robert both were married to different partners but they got divorced. The two crossed paths in 1998 in South Africa and fell in love.
Simpson and Brown wedded in a haste on 13 February 1999. They enjoyed a decent married life for a few years and started a B&B business as well.

Some years later, Robert started to lie to his wife, Joanna and showed greedy nature as well. Due to that, his wife suffered from severe stress and she filed for a divorce.
As per BBC News, the couple went through a bitter divorce and he felt over from her B&B business where he had invested £200,000. On 31 October 2010, Brown took their kids to Joanna’s place in Ascot.
Robert kept his kids in another room and hit Simpson 14 times in her head with a hammer. She eventually died and he dragged her body into his car in front of their children.
Brown then buried her at Windsor Great Park. Her deceased body was recovered after he confessed to his crime after 4 days of vigorous search.
