Mthandeni Dlamuka died suffering from a long-term illness on Saturday afternoon. The news of his death was confirmed by his son but no further details about his disease were revealed.

Dlamuka’s son Siyacela Dlamuka wrote on Facebook that Mzansi has been providing their heartfelt condolences to his family.

His post read: “My heart is in pain Rest in peace Dlamuka”, in his native language. Similarly, his admirers have also expressed deep grief upon his unexpected passing. It is true, that the elderly man has passed away, a close family friend who wished to remain anonymous confirmed to the media.

Nqobani, another son of Dlamuka, has claimed that because of depression, his father frequently left hospitals.

Almost a year ago, Dlamuka’s fake death news had already circulated on social media. Later the news was denied by the family’s spokesperson Sphamandla Ntombela. It is however true that the Reality star was admitted to the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital for surgery But, due to fluctuations in his blood pressure, the procedure was not performed.

As mentioned in some of the show’s recent episodes, Dlamuka also suffered from diabetes.
