Fan attacks Seth Rollins during WWE Monday Night Raw at Barclays Center

One WWE fan at Barclays Center attempted to get into the action by attacking one of the wrestlers.

A fan jumped the guard rail near the back of ramp and tackled WWE star Seth Rollins as he walked back from his match during “Monday Night Raw” on Monday.

Twitter videos show the fan getting a full sprinting start before making contact with Rollins. With the fan on top of him, Rollins can be seen attempting to push him off and wriggle himself free. WWE officials, referees and crew members attempted to pull the fan off Rollins, whose real name is Colby Lewis.

One referee delivered a running elbow to the fan’s back, helping Rollins to finally get free. An incensed Rollins, who just had a match with Finn Balor, began screaming at the fan as he was pushed to the back by security. The Brooklyn fans started chanting “f—k him up.” Another video shows the fan being escorted out of the area by security.

“WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously,” WWE said in a statement. “The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

This is the second time a fan has jumped the barrier at Barclays Center and attacked a member of WWE. Pro wrestling legend Bret Hart was rushed by a fan in the ring during the WWE Hall of Fame show in 2019.

WWE was also at Barclays Center on Sunday night for its Survivor Series pay-per-view.
